Meets virtually using Zoom
Week of July 19
Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 10:30 am
Our Summer 2021 CodeMaker camps are being offered virtually as part of New Jersey City University's Kids on Campus program. These camps allow beginner and intermediate level coders in grades 3 and 6 the opportunity to work through interactive lessons in animation and game design. Learning to code allows campers to build sequencing skills, logic and apply critical thinking while working through a problem. Campers will learn how to bring their projects to life by coding animations and video games with stunning visuals, augmented reality, artwork, and sound.
Working from home on their personal devices, campers will receive virtual help from our NJ certified teachers who build a positive, collaborative learning community. Classes include time to build coding projects, "unplugged" coding lessons and hands-on STEM activities. To participate, each camper must have a desktop, Chromebook, OR laptop with internet connection. See more information below. No coding experience needed!
Device Must Haves: 4GB or greater RAM, Wi-Fi capability, 802.11n or faster preferred, User-Facing Camera, a USB mouse (the touchpad on a laptop or Chromebook can be used but is not recommended)
